There has always been a fear of the number 13 with a lot of people. A lot of people in powerful positions fear the number. It's mainly part of a European folklore influence. The strange part about this not mentioned in the article in the ----> USA TODAY, is that the Year of the prophetical end of the Mayan calendar leads into 2013.
If we consolidate the 13 to a single digit we see the number 4. The one stands for the whole of humanity uniting together under The God, his Christ/Messiah/Mahdi and representative in our midst representing the Holy Trinity.
This is the end of the present day rulers of the old world which is the European dominated. We now see why they hate the number 13 because it means the end of their rule in 2013 and the awakening of the masses with God and the truth of all religions becoming one.
